At a Glance
Elminster is a wizard and archmage, and resides in Shadowdale. He was born in Athalantar.
Also called the Sage of Shadowdale.
Author of A Myth Drannan Amphigory and Harping by Moonlight: Approaches to Life.
Elminster was (as might be imagined) one of the first characters Ed Greenwood wrote about; in fact, he’s in the first story ever written about the Realms: One Comes, Unheralded, to Zirta.
