Murghôm is a nation politically controlled by Mulhorand, economically dominated by Semphar, and cursed with a line of ineffectual kings. Villages are semi-autonomous, each ruled by a respected elder known as an ataman.
Neighboring nations and regions include Mulhorand to the west, the Mountains of Copper and beyond them the Hordelands to the north, Gbor Nor and Semphar to the east, and the Plains of Purple Dust to the south.
The year, in the Xaeyruudh campaign, is 1365 DR. The throne of Murghôm sits empty, vacated recently but underutilized for many years.
