A unique devil.

Also considered a power of the Faerûnian Pantheon.

Originally spelled Gargoth; he changed it to thwart certain mortal summoning rituals. He is sometimes mistakenly called Astaroth by mortal sages.

He has a consort, Charsultketh, who acts as his enforcer among The Knights of the Shield.
