This settlement was founded in the earliest days of Cormyr, as a fishing hamlet on the Wyvernwater. It grew over time to meet neighboring Rallyhorn. The combined community was named Hultail in 98 DR, after which “Rallyhorn” was just the old neighborhood leading up to Rallyhorn Castle at the southeastern edge of Hultail.
