Farsea Marshes

At a Glance

A marsh north of the Storm Horns, considered part of the Tunlands region because it’s not obviously a part of anything else and because it contains the source of the Tun River which flows across the Tun Plain.

Scattered reports of various adventurers indicate that the ruins of a city are to be found at the heart of the marsh.

Castle Crag

At a Glance

Castle Crag is found in northeastern Cormyr, in the foothills of the eastern Storm Horn Mountains at the south end of Gnoll Pass. It’s on the east side of the pass, opposite Castle Kilgrave, near the intersection of the Moonsea Ride and the Dragon Trail.

About 500 Purple Dragons are garrisoned here, with a detachment of the War Wizards. Circa 1367 DR they are under the strict command of Bren Tallsword.

Shadow Gap

At a Glance

Shadow Gap is the northern of two passes marking the border between the Desertsmouth Mountains to the north and the Thunder Peaks to the south. The other pass is Tilver’s Gap.

Shadow Gap was named after Mount Shaddath, in the waning days of the Three Realms as trees and civilization diminished in the area; the name was corrupted to Shadow Gap.

A day falling, once every four years, between Midsummer and Eleasias, on the Calendar of Harptos.

The first Shieldmeet was celebrated in 20 DR. Certain cultures, however, have observed this extra day in their calendar since before that time; the elves, for example, call it Cinnaelos Cor.
