Citadel of the Raven

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.


At a Glance

The Citadel of the Raven is a string of fortresses north of the Moonsea.

The Zhentilar seize the Citadel in the name of Zhentil Keep circa 1355 DR, slaughtering the garrisons sent by other Moonsea cities. The Zhentarim subsequently uses the fortresses as well. Under Zhent control, the Citadel houses over 2,000 men-at-arms, led by Commander Kandar Milinal.

One of the battlements, known as Sundeth’s Tower, contains the tomb of Sundeth Gossyl.

The Citadel is attacked by three dragons during the Flight of Dragons in 1356 DR.

The Immer Stream arises from a spring on the aptly named Spring Hill, runs through town, and empties into the Wyvernwater.

Citizens of Immersea are referred to as Immersean.

Who Rules

The year, in the Xaeyruudh campaign, is 1365 DR.

Samtavan Sulacar rules Immersea in the name of King Azoun IV of Cormyr.

Samtavan is described as neither a local (he’s from Suzail) nor an effective lord; his herald handles most of the important business in the area.
