Malkizid the Branded King

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

Malkizid is a unique devil. Formerly a solar in the service of the Seldarine; he was seduced by Araushnee, who became Lolth. He arose as a devil prince and carved out his own kingdom in Baator but earned the disfavor of Asmodeus and was banished from the Nine Hells. He then became a lord among the yugoloths. He hates Lolth and the drow, blaming her for his fall from grace. He likewise hates Corellon, and all other elves.

Malkizid was a secret patron of the Vyshaanti lords of Aryvandaar, and he worked toward the corruption of Siluvanede. It was three of his servants, nycaloths he had dispatched to Faerûn long before, who wrought the destruction of Myth Drannor.

Malkizid himself returned to Toril in 1355 DR, to rule the devils who still occupy the ruins of Myth Drannor.
