The Halls of Four Ghosts

A long-abandoned dwarven hold, located at the western edge of the High Forest.

The original name of the hold is forgotten; it’s now named for the four dwarven ghosts who beckon urgently to dwarven visitors. The underground stronghold is now held by trolls.

Gauntlgrym

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

A large subterranean city built by the dwarves of Delzoun but not part of that realm.

Now abandoned by civilized folk, the ruins are inhabited by various monsters including mind flayers and ghosts. There are at least three levels of chambers; the lowest leads down into the Underdark, and the upper level is claimed by an “adventuring band” calling itself the Hargrath. The ventilation shaft was once inhabited by a recently vanished red dragon.

The Fell Pass

At a Glance

A pass between Mount Arinratha and Mount Thalangabold. It’s the gravesite of an entire orc horde, slaughtered by the dwarves of Delzoun.

Beneath the pass lies the secret of the dwarves’ victory: an underground stronghold with hidden hatches that allowed the dwarves to charge forth and lay into the orcs from all sides. It’s believed that these tunnels, still full of treasure, are now claimed by beholders and gargoyles.

Endless Caverns

The Endless Caverns
A large network of limestone caverns in the High Forest, south of the Star Mounts. A spring issues forth and joins the Unicorn Run.

This seemingly tranquil description belies the residents of the caverns: Aumvor the Undying, Grimnoshtadrano, and various groups of illithid and drow.
