At a Glance
Book of Vile Darkness mentions (page 163) an army of 9,999 gelugons which reportedly guards the gate from Cania to Nessus. Mephistopheles commands this force; obviously they must ultimately follow the will of Asmodeus, but the details of how that works are unknown to mortals.
Somewhat arbitrarily, I decided that the gelugons were all advanced. No brand-new gelugon would be assigned to this duty; it would be an honor reserved for the most loyal and bloodthirsty of these devils. Using a simple method outlined under Gazra’s Legion, I came up with a HD distribution.
