Nashkel

At a Glance

A settlement, technically the northernmost reach of Amn but semi-autonomous in practice. The population of the town is about 3,000 (98% human, 2% halfling, with a few shield dwarves), with another 1,500 in outlying hamlets and farms.

Nashkel is located on the Trade Way, just north of the Cloud Peaks. The section of this road between Nashkel and Crimmor is locally referred to as the Bitten Road since it runs between the Fangs; the two sheer stone needles that mark the southern end of Fang Pass through the Cloud Peaks. The Uldoon Trail goes northeast, linking Nashkel with Berdusk.

The city is sometimes referred to as the Cold City, the Windy City, or the Sloping City. The people of Nashkel are called Nashkars.
