An independent city of about 12,000 svirfneblin, found in the Underdark beneath Ironstar Mountain. Also called Blindingstone or the City of Speaking Stones.

Blingdenstone was founded in -690 DR. It’s pillaged by drow around 1370 DR, after the gnomes helped to defend Mithral Hall against the drow.

Black Road

The Black Road is Zhentarim territory, and a thorough interrogation and a slow death await any who are discovered therein without proper authorization.


Overview

More of a route than a widely known and traveled road, the Black Road is used by the Zhentarim to transport goods (and slaves) between the Moonsea and the Sword Coast. The eastern terminus is Zhentil Keep; the western is Llorkh.

The Landscape: What You See

Most of the Black Road falls within Anauroch.

Settlements

The route passes through Teshwave, Dagger Falls, Addas Babar, Bhaerlith, Olomaa, and Vuerthyl, and near Dekanter.
