Tower of Ashaba

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

The Tower of Ashaba, also called the Twisted Tower, is built by the drow in what is later known as Shadowdale. It’s named (among surface-dwellers, anyway) for its proximity to the River Ashaba, and hence for Ashaba.

Campaign Notes

The tower is featured in the Beneath the Twisted Tower adventure in the 2e campaign set, as well as the Avatar trilogy. Since the tower was built by drow, I think it would add some flavor (and frustration) to declare that the drow built it on their own scale. This would make things kinda cramped for humans. Drow average 5 feet tall (Races of Faerûn directs us to use the height/weight numbers for elves in the 3e Player’s Handbook) so here are a few dimensions to use if you want to scale the tower (especially the above-ground floors) to drow proportions.
