The Pit of Many Colors is a hole in the ground, found where Gilgeam fell to Tiamat during the Time of Troubles.

The pit is filled with reddish-black mud, which behaves like quicksand. Objects (or presumably people) which sink into the mud are transported to Tiamat’s realm in the Abyss.

The pit is found in Unthalass, and is guarded by Antasillix.
