Demographics

Circa 1367 DR, the full-time population of the city ranges between 29,000 (winter) and 33,000 (summer). Many farmers from the Fields of the Dead take shelter in the city during times of war.

In 1372 DR, the population is 22,671.

Religion

The churches of Chauntea and Helm are prominent in the city, and represented by temples. There are shrines dedicated to Ilmater, Tempus, Tymora, and Waukeen.

Elturel is protected by the Hell Riders, who provide armed escorts to settlements along the trade routes from Iriaebor to Waterdeep.
