Remorhaz

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

A magical beast.

Some show their respect for the remorhaz by trying to ride them, including the monks of the Yellow Rose and the Nakulutiuns of Ahtitlak.

Some of the more intelligent remorhaz of the High Ice venerate Augaurath as a deity.

Variations

In the Opoboquo Valley of the Great Glacier, there’s a distinct type of remorhaz. This species is half the size of a standard remorhaz and lacks the Swallow Whole ability. Damage from body heat is also halved, and metal weapons are not destroyed.

What You See
Art Review

I can see why they chose the one in the 3.5 MM; the feathered arms make it look more like a 50/50 split between bird and bear… but the shoulders and claws in this sketch are more badass. Also, the feet are better in the sketch. I’ve noticed a lot of artists seem to have problems with feet. What’s up with that?
