A dragon.

Scalamagdrions are described as dragons from another Prime, or at least a hidden location. They are sought by the mind flayers of Oryndoll, following the discovery of ancient lore which suggests that they are prime candidates for ceremorphosis.

The Magister

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

This is a template which is typically only applied to humans or demihumans.  At any given time, there is only one Magister in the Realms.  Becoming the Magister requires being nominated by the Chosen of Azuth and the approval of this nomination by Azuth himself.  Defeating the incumbent Magister does not, contrary to popular belief, automatically elevate one to the position.

A list of various Magisters follows. The list is not exhaustive, but it does include all of those (since 136 DR) who were Magister for more than a few moments.

Crypt Spawn

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

An undead.

DM’s Notes

This is a template which can supposedly be applied to any living creature. This means any aberration, animal, dragon, fey, giant, humanoid, magical beast, monstrous humanoid, ooze, outsider, plant, or vermin. You obviously can’t put this template on a construct, elemental, or undead, since they’re not alive. However, oozes and plants don’t make sense either, and it’s questionable whether it should be possible to apply it to fey or outsiders, since (I believe) these creatures are not normally susceptible to being animated as undead.
