The Deepwash

At a Glance

The largest freshwater lake between the Inner Sea and the Shining Sea. It’s fed by streams from the Cloven Mountains, the Deepwing Mountains, and the Snowflake Mountains. It drains, via the Wintercloak River, to the Nagawater.

Somewhere in the depths of the Deepwash is one-way portal leading here from Dragon Eyrie. A powerful dragon turtle came through, chasing a small band of sarrukh, in 1159 DR. The sarrukh were unsuccessful in defending themselves, and died on the beach. Lizardfolk then found the bodies and established the town of Surkh. More recently, a clutch of black dragons came through this portal.
