Monster Manual was written by Christopher Perkins, and first printed in September 2014.

Art Gallery

The art gallery for the 5e Monster Manual consists of only 39 illustrations, and they’re not the easiest things to get to. At http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/media-resources, you’ll see a dropdown menu titled “Narrow By.” Select Art Galleries. Several pictures should appear below that, one of which should be the Monster Manual. Click on that picture. A viewer should come up (this might not happen if you have popups disabled; I’m not sure) and at the top you’ll see another dropdown menu titled “Download.” From that menu you can select a few monsters. Clicking on the names of these monsters will directly download the pictures; you can’t actually view them from the Wizards site.

Color me completely unimpressed with this setup. Earlier art galleries were both more extensive and easier to view.
