The Crumbling Stair is a broken marble spiral staircase, which rises out of overgrown foundations in the Sword Hills east of Waterdeep. The stairs descend into extensive cellars haunted by apparitions.

The Death Shallows is a depression about 25 miles east of Waterdeep, along the River Dessarin, surrounded by cliffs. Kezef rested at an evil node here while hunting Mask following the Time of Troubles.

Recent travelers report being attacked by creatures of ooze and acid (several ooze paraelementals and ooze mephits, and an ooze weird).

A mountain range which forms the southern wall of the Deepwash, west of the Vilhon Reach and north of the Lake of Steam. The Wintercloak River “cleaves” the range, flowing through the Winterwood to empty into the Nagawater.
