A human wizard with a history of fateful evil deeds. With the fall of Netheril he became a lich, in the service of Bane. It was he who first summoned devils into Ascalhorn, bringing about the final ruin of that city and its transformation into Hellgate Keep. Then he brought the Dire Wood into being. Now he dwells in the ruins of Karse, seeking to take the place of Karsus. He is hunted by his former protector, Jhingleshod.
