Lassree

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

A mage and officer of the Watch of Waterdeep.

She’s young, but exceptionally well-armed by the Lords and by her father— Helve Urtrace. She generally accompanies him on backup calls, and is otherwise only selected for regular Watch patrols during the day and in the safer wards of the city.

The Xaeyruudh Campaign

Obviously, she’s being groomed for leadership in the Watch, and protected while she’s still young. She has access to the best equipment and training in the city. Without learning their status as Lords, she could be approached by Durnan and Kitten with offers of weapons practice and people-reading skills. She could also be offered magical training by Laeral, all of which would be far too exciting for a young girl to refuse. Helve might have mixed feelings, but he would be overruled by Kitten and Laeral… which would probably be a thrilling experience in itself.

So that’s Lassree’s life, as far as this campaign is concerned… whenever she’s not on patrol with the Watch, she spars with Durnan (and Tamsil) and goes out people-watching with Kitten (disguised of course) and learns magic from Laeral. Hard life, eh? Poor girl. As far as class progression, I think eldritch knight would be a good goal.

When a brawl breaks out, and a Watch patrol summons backup, and the second patrol also calls for reinforcements, Helve will almost always show up in addition to the reinforcements. When responding to a trouble, he is often accompanied by his daughter Lassree and 10-20 additional Watch officers.
