The crown of Narfell is an artifact of indeterminate age. According to legend, it was given by Orcus to the first Nentyarch of Narfell.

Sarshel shattered the crown of Narfell in the Year of Visions (731 DR), thus breaking the bond between Orcus and the artifact. He gathered the physical remnants of the crown, but spirits imprisoned within were able to escape. Ndulu gathered these “crown-wraiths” and created a copy of the crown, which has become known as the moaning crown of Ndulu.
