At a Glance

An elven city located near what is now Hellgate Keep. It was overrun and razed by orcs long ago. All that’s left is overgrown rubble and a few sewer tunnels. Adventurers sometimes seek to draw upon the power of the mythal which may still survive here; it’s said to repair and restore charges to magical items.

Once an elven stronghold in the Forest of Mir, this city can only be seen by elves, gnomes, and perhaps a few other races. Those who approach but cannot see it are teleported to the opposite side of it.

A “living web” of magic created (originally) by elven high magic. Approximations became possible using other types of magic, but the ones created by high magic are sometimes called true mythals to distinguish them from mythals created by 10th level spells or epic magic (wizard mythals) and lesser systems of wards (quasi-mythals).
