Madeiron Sunderstone

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

A paladin of Tyr, and the personal bodyguard of Lord Piergeiron of Waterdeep.

Description

This is unofficial; just my take on him from the description in FR1.

A giant among men; 8 ft tall and 325 lbs (244 cm and 147 kg). His features are unknown, since he’s never been seen; he’s always wearing full plate armor. This fact, combined with his unusual height, leads most folks who see him to assume he’s a golem.

Paladin is a basic class.

Overview

Patron Power

There are of course exceptions, but due to the alignment restriction human paladins often serve Torm or Tyr. Ilmater and Nobanion are less common, but still appropriate, choices. Berronar, Gorm, and Moradin are all good choices for dwarves, Gaerdal or Garl for gnomes, and Arvoreen or Yondalla for halflings.

In the Old Empires, the obvious choice is Osiris, but there are paladins among the minority sects of Anhur, Horus-Re, Isis, Nephthys, and Thoth.
