At a Glance

The Misty Forest is a constantly foggy evergreen forest on the western boundary of the High Moor, south of the DelimbiyrWood elves and hybsils, and druids and rangers of friendly races, dwell here and menace the orcs who sometimes seek to ambush travelers on the Trade Way.

A Visual

I visualize something like this.

Lizard Marsh

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

A marsh at the mouth of the Delimbiyr, south of Waterdeep.  The lizardfolk here are at least as organized, territorial, and foul-tempered as anywhere else on Faerûn.  Dinosaurs and black dragons have been spotted in the marsh as well.

Not to be confused with the Mere of Dead Men, which is north of Waterdeep.

Daggerford

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

Daggerford is an independent settlement of the Sword Coast, where the Trade Way crosses the Delimbiyr.

The town is drawn on the north bank on the N5 map, but the south bank on the 3e campaign setting map. The Cyclopedia and A Grand Tour describe it as “situated on the south side of the ford.”

High Moor

This information is intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

At a Glance

The High Moor is a large moorland inhabited by trolls, orcs, and hobgoblins, among less dangerous creatures like wild sheep.  Due to its creation by dark magic, the moor bounds rather than being bounded by the features at its periphery.

What You See

I may, of course, be entirely wrong, but this is what comes to my mind when I think of the High Moor. Well… with a few hostile locals running this way.

Roads

The Trade Way runs south and west of the moor, but there are no recognized roads within.

Notable Individuals

Several dragons lair in the High Moor, including red (Maughrysear), copper (Aaronarra and Carynnallerastis), amethyst (Sh’derra D’zeer), and a family of black dragons (Aswidorg, Calathanorgoth, Cheleen, Vilholin, Wastirek, Woklef) plus Maelestor Rex, who is apparently unrelated. Nymmurh feeds here (traveling through portals of his own devising) from time to time. Saquathos and Zilanthar were offspring of Calathanorgoth, but they were slain in the dracorage of 1018 DR.
